About Us
Rotaract Club of Kamloops is:
- a fusion of like-minded young professionals and students
- a group that bridges two generations, Aurora and Fusion, together under the name of Rotary
Rotaract isn't just a club - it's a way of life. We stand by the Rotary motto of 'Service Above Self' and apply the 4-Way Test to all facets of our lives.
- Is it the Truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Rotaract is about giving back to our community, networking, and developing ourselves professionally... But Rotaract is also about fun and having a great time together - so you'll find a healthy dose of socials to complement our meetings!
Come out to one of our meetings to find out what we're all about! Please view the "Get Involved" section of this webpage for more info about our meetings!
What else are we about?
Rotaract is a service club for young men and women ages 18 through 30. Rotaract clubs are usually community-based or university-based and are sponsored by a local Rotary club making them true "partners in service" and key members of the Rotary family.
Through the Rotaract program, young adults not only augment their knowledge and skills, but also address the physical and social needs of their communities while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.
All Rotaract efforts begin at the local grassroots level and all Rotaract clubs have access to the many resources of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.
As one of the most significant and fastest-growing programs of Rotary service, with more than 7,600 Rotaract clubs in some 158 countries, Rotaract has become a worldwide phenomenon.
Rotaractors often spearhead the formation of Interact clubs and participate in Rotary Youth Leadership Awards. Also, Rotaractors can go on to become Ambassadorial Scholars or Group Study Exchange team members.
For more information about Rotaract in your area, contact your local Rotary club or your local Rotary club. Visit the Rotaract Discussion Forum to view or participate in conversations about club projects and activities with Rotaractors from around the world.
